I tried to find it in the stores buy no one carries the princesses. She has had a lot of fun playing with it and has even been able to sleep with it because it is very soft. It's good that the clothes are attached so you don't have to worry about losing them. We are definitely going to buy more groovy girls princesses to go with her collection. I bought this for my 3 year old because she loves princesses. I tried to find it in the stores buy no one carries the princesses. We had seen the Groovy Girls line in the store, but her brother wanted to give his sister a "princess" doll. Her tiara, shoes, and tights are attached or sewn on to her (not going to be lost later). Her dress is removable, but easily closes with velcro. She even has a belly button! I think that the age it is recommended for is older, but our 18 month old loves the soft dolls and yarn hair (we don't let her sleep with any toys). This little doll is perfect.
